- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 12 cup water
- 1 peach
Directions

1Make the syrup: put the brown sugar and water into a small saucepan, bring to the boil, stirring occasionally, and simmer gently for 3-4 minutes to dissolve the sugar.

2Wash the peaches (do not peel) and cut them in half, from top to bottom.

3Remove the stones.

4Put the peaches into an ovenproof dish with the cut sides face upwards, and pour the hot syrup over the fruit, spooning it into the holes left by the stones.

5Put into a warm oven (350F/180C/Gas Mark 4) for 10-15 minutes, until the fruit is hot and the syrup bubbling.
