  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 (16 oz.) can refried beans
  • 1 1/2 c. catsup
  • 1 medium onion, chopped fine
  • 2 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
  • 1 1/2 lb. Cheddar cheese, grated

Directions

    Brown ground beef; drain grease.

    Add onion, beans, catsup and chili powder.

    Let simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.

    If it is too dry, add 1/2 cup of water.

    Place in a 9 x 13-inch pan as follows: first layer is meat mixture, second layer is sour cream and third layer is cheese.

    You make real thin layers.

    Repeat one more time.

    Add extra cheese on top.

    Cover.

    Place in oven at 325° for 20 minutes or until hot.

    Take cover off.

    Bake 5 more minutes. Serve hot with tortilla chips.
