Taco Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 c. canned tomatoes
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (8 oz.) sour cream
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 medium bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 pkg. taco seasoning
  • 1 (8 oz.) shredded cheese
  • 6 oz. pkg. tortilla chips, crumbled

Directions

    Brown ground beef in skillet; drain, then add water, onion, pepper, taco seasoning, tomatoes, tomato sauce and sour cream to beef; let simmer about 30 minutes.

    Crumble 1/2 of chips in bottom of casserole dish.

    Put 1/2 of meat mixture on top of chips. Sprinkle 1/2 cheese on top of meat.

    Add remaining chips, meat and cheese.

    Bake until cheese is melted.

    Serve while hot.
