Taco Meat Filling

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
  • 1 finely chopped green pepper (use seeds also)
  • 1 chopped very large onion
  • 1 medium size bottle salsa
  • chopped hot peppers to taste
  • 1 pkg. taco seasoning mix

Directions

    Cook green peppers and onion in small amount of oil adding ground chuck when almost done.

    Stir occasionally until fine and thoroughly brown.

    Drain any excess fat.

    Add hot peppers and salsa, stirring occasionally.

    Sprinkle contents of seasoning mix over meat mixture.

    Stir well and simmer on medium-low heat for about 15 minutes.

    Serve with taco shells and all the trimmings.
