Taco Pie

  • 1 deep-dish pie shell
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 medium chopped onion
  • 1 pkg. taco seasoning
  • 1 can refried beans
  • 1 jar taco sauce
  • 2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • crushed tortilla chips
  • shredded lettuce
  • tomato

Directions

    Preheat cookie sheet in oven to 400°.

    Thaw pie crust 10 minutes.

    Prick bottom and sides of pie crust.

    Bake 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350°.

    Brown meat and onion; drain fat.

    Add taco seasoning mix to meat according to package directions.

    Mix beans and 1/3 cup taco sauce; mix well.

    Layer half of refried beans mixture in bottom of pie crust.

    Top with seasoned meat, 1/2 cheese and tortilla chips.

    Repeat layers.

    Bake on preheated cookie sheet 20 to 25 minutes.

    Top with lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, olives, etc.
