Ingredients

  • 3 lb. sugar (cane)
  • 2 lb. white Karo syrup
  • 3/4 pt. good cream
  • 5 sheets gelatine (can be bought at drug stores)
  • 1 saucer shaved Parowax
  • 1 1/2 tsp. extract

    Put everything except gelatine

    extract in large pan. Soak gelatine

    and stir all time until crackles when tested

    Take off stove, squeeze all water out of

    gelatine and put gelatine in and stir.

    Then pour in buttered platters and cool until you can handle.

    coloring (if wanted).

    Cut in chunks with scissors. Makes about 5 pounds.
