- 4 medium onions
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- Olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 c. balsamic vinegar
- 1/3 c. seasoned bread crumbs
- 1 tsp. oregano
Directions

1Peel onions and cut a small slice from the top, leaving the root end whole.

2Cut each onion from the top into 8 wedges, taking care not to cut through the root end.

3Brush 4 sheets of aluminum foil with olive oil.

4In a small bowl, mix vinegar, oregano, brown sugar, salt and pepper and rub this mixture on all surfaces of the onions.

5Wrap each onion in a sheet of aluminum foil.

6Bake at 350 degrees for an hour or until tender.

7In the last 5 minutes of baking, open the foil and sprinkle with the bread crumbs.
