Ingredients

  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 1/4 tsp. soda
  • 2/3 c. melted oleo (1 stick and 2 Tbsp.)
  • 3 well beaten eggs
  • 1 or more tsp. milk if dough is too dry
  • fruit filling

Directions

    Sift together first 3 ingredients.

    Add oleo and eggs.
  3. 3
    Add milk if dough is too dry.

    Roll or press 1/2 of the dough into ungreased 10 1/2 x 15 1/2 inch pan.

    Place filling on top of dough and with remainder of dough roll out and cut into strips and lattice it across the top of filling.

    Bake at 375° for 35 to 40 minutes.

    Do not overbake.
