Ingredients

  • 10 tilapia filets
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 packages Louisiana fish fry New Orleans style
  • 1/2 tbsp old bay seasoning
  • 1/2 tbsp oregano
  • 1/2 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tbsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tbsp onion powder

Directions

    Thaw tilapia accordingly.

    saturate with fresh lemon juice on both sides

    Season one side to your liking with old bay seasoning, and oregano
  4. 4
    Flip tilapia filets and season other side with onion powder, Italian seasoning and black pepper

    Heat oil in Dutch skillet until piping hot (test by tossing a dash of the fish fry into grease if it sizzles heavily it is ready)

    Coat fish filets in fish fry seasoning make sure the fish is evenly coated on both sides

    Place fish filets in grease and cook until browned (about 5 minutes) Flip and cook the other side an additional 5/6 minutes or until done

    Remove filets from grease and drain on paper towel.
