  • 4 c. plain flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 2 c. lukewarm water
  • 1 pkg. dry yeast

Directions

    Sift dry ingredients; cut in shortening. Dissolve yeast in one of the cups of water; add the other cup of water. Put in refrigerator 2 hours before serving. Knead, roll and cut out biscuits. Let rise and bake at 400° until brown.
