- 1 c. butter or margarine
- 2 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 4 Tbsp. cold water
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- pecans (optional)
- 5 to 6 c. flour (approximately)
Directions

1Cream soft butter, sugar and then eggs and water.

2Put salt and baking powder in 1 cup flour and add to ingredients.

3Work in flour until it is consistency to roll and cut or pinch off and roll with hands into small balls.

4Put on greased cookie sheet and press with fork.

5Bake at 350°.

6Makes about 100 cookies.
