- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. flour
- 1 c. coconut (optional)
Directions

1Combine butter, shortening and sugar, creaming until light and fluffy.

2Add vanilla.

3Work in flour and coconut gradually until well blended.

4Form into 2 rolls; chill in refrigerator overnight. Heat oven to 275°.

5Slice dough 1/4-inch thick.

6Slices may be cut in fancy shapes.

7Bake for 35 to 45 minutes.
