- 2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 6 Tbsp. butter
- 1 slightly beaten egg
- 1/2 c. milk
Directions

1Sift together dry ingredients and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.

2Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

3Add the egg and milk, stirring until dough follows the fork around the bowl.

4Knead on floured surface about 15 times and cut it in half.

5Shape each half into a ball and pat that into a circle 1/2-inch thick and about 6-inches in diameter.

6Cut this piece into 8 wedges.
