- 1/4 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 Tbsp. catsup
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 lb. ground chuck
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 6 hamburger buns, split and toasted
- thinly sliced onions
Directions

1Combine first 6 ingredients in saucepan, simmer 5 minutes, stirring.

2Combine beef with salt and pepper.

3Spread raw meat to edge of toasted buns, brush meat with sauce, top with onion slice and brush with additional sauce.

4Broil 6 to 8 inches from heat for 5 to 7 minutes, brushing occasionally with sauce until meat is done as you like it.

5Makes 12 open sandwiches.
