- beef roast (shoulder or chuck)
- all-purpose seasoning
- salt
- pepper
- self-rising flour
Directions

1Wash roast in cold water.

2Sprinkle with all-purpose seasoning, salt and pepper on all sides.

3Roll in flour.

4Put in hot grease in large iron skillet and brown on both sides.

5Put in roasting pan and sprinkle with more all-purpose seasoning.

6Add 2 cups water and cover tightly with aluminum foil.

7Bake at 350° for 1 hour for each pound of meat or until tender.
