Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp. dry mustard
  • 1 1/2 lb. tenderized round or cubed steak
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 4 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 c. chopped onions
  • 1 c. chopped green peppers
  • 1 c. diced carrots
  • 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
  • 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350°.

    Combine flour and mustard.

    Cut steak into serving size pieces.

    Sprinkle with salt and pepper and cover with flour mixture.

    Brown in hot oil.

    Transfer into 8 x 8-inch dish. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over meat.

    Cover and bake 2 hours or until very tender.
