Ingredients

  • 2 lb. sirloin steak, 1/4 inch thick
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped fresh ginger or 2 tsp. powdered ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped fine
  • 1 medium onion, chopped fine
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 c. soy sauce
  • 1/2 c. sherry

Directions

    Cut the steak into thin slices or strips.

    Combine all other ingredients and pour the mixture over the meat.

    Allow to stand 2 hours.

    Thread the meat on skewers and broil quickly on both sides over barbecue or in preheated broiler.

    Serves 4 to 6.
