Ingredients
- 1 lb. medium/firm tofu
- 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/4 cup sesame seeds
- 2 tbsp. canola oil
- 3 green onions thinly sliced
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp. sugar
- 2 tbsp. dry sherry
- 3/4 tsp. grated fresh ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
Directions

1Place tofu in a colander and let drain for 10 minutes.

2Prepare teriyaki sauce by combining soy sauce, sugar, dry sherry, grated ginger, and crushed garlic cloves.

3Cut the tofu into domino shape/size pieces and marinate in teriyaki sauce for 15 minutes, turning to coat well.

4Combine flour and sesame seeds; lift tofu from marinade, reserve marinade, drain tofu briefly, then dip in flour mixture to coat all sides.

5Heat one tablespoon oil in a frying pan over medium heat; add half the tofu and cook until lightly browned, about 4 minutes on each side.

6Remove from pan and keep warm.

7Add the remaining tablespoon oil to pan, cook the remaining tofu.

8Serve warm sprinkled with green onion and pass reserved teriyaki sauce for dipping.
