- 1 1/2 c. medium ground corn meal
- 1/2 c. plain flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1 c. milk
- 1/4 c. vegetable oil
Directions

1Sift corn meal, flour, baking powder, salt and sugar together. Combine egg, oil and milk; add to dry ingredients.

2Mix until smooth.

3Pour into greased 9-inch square pan, 10-inch iron skillet or 12-muffin tin.

4Bake at 425° for 20 to 30 minutes or until golden brown.
