  • 2 c. sugar
  • 4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 2 c. raisins
  • 2 c. cut up gumdrops (no black or spice)
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 c. Wesson oil
  • 2 c. applesauce
  • 2 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 tsp. allspice
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg

Directions

    Mix sugar, oil, flour, applesauce and spices, then add raisins, nuts and gumdrops.

    Mix well.

    Bake 2 1/2 hours in a greased and floured tube pan at 275°.

    Place a pan of water under cake and steam will make it moist.

    Test for doneness.
