- 1 lb. ground beef
- 3 large onions, sliced
- 1 large green pepper, chopped
- 1 (16 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
- 1/2 c. uncooked regular rice
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 to 2 tsp. chili powder
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- sliced American cheese
Directions

1Heat oven to 350°.

2In large skillet, cook and stir meat, onion and green pepper until meat is brown and vegetables are tender.

3Drain off fat.

4Stir in tomatoes, rice, salt, chili powder and pepper.

5Heat through.

6Pour into ungreased 2-quart casserole.

7Top completely with sliced cheese.

8Cover and bake 1 hour.
