- 3 Tbsp. shortening
- 2 large onions
- 2 green peppers
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 2 c. canned tomatoes
- 1/2 c. uncooked rice
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- dash of pepper
Directions

1Saute chopped onions and peppers until tender in shortening. Add ground meat and brown.

2Add tomatoes, rice and seasoning.

3Put in covered dish and bake at 375° for about 45 minutes.

4Serve.
