- 2 large onions, chopped
- 2 green peppers
- 3 Tbsp. oil or shortening
- 1 lb. hamburger
- 2 medium or 1 large can tomatoes
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
Directions

1Cook onions and peppers in oil until tender.

2Add hamburger and cook until meat falls apart.

3Drain fat if necessary.

4Add tomatoes and 1 cup uncooked macaroni or spaghetti or 1/2 cup rice.

5Pour into buttered casserole and bake for 45 minutes or until tender in 375° oven.

6Stir occasionally.
