- 1 lb. ground beef
- 2 medium onions, diced
- 1 large bell pepper, diced
- 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
- 1/2 c. uncooked regular rice
- 2 tsp. chili powder
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
Directions

1Heat oven to 350°.

2In large skillet, cook and stir beef until light brown; drain.

3Add onions and pepper; cook and stir until onions and pepper are tender.

4Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, rice, chili powder, salt and pepper.

5Heat through.

6Pour into ungreased 2-quart casserole dish.

7Cover and bake 1 hour.

8Less time if you use 9 x 11-inch Pyrex dish.

9Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese before serving.
