- 2 large onions, sliced
- 2 green peppers, chopped finely
- 3 Tbsp. shortening
- 1 lb. hamburg
- 2 c. canned tomatoes
- 1/2 c. uncooked rice
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
Directions

1Cook onions and green peppers in fat slowly, until tender.

2Add hamburg and fry until brown.

3Add tomatoes, rice, salt, pepper and chili powder and mix thoroughly.

4Pour into casserole.

5Cover and bake at 375° for 45 minutes.
