- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 3 Tbsp. fat
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 c. uncooked rice
- 2 c. cooked tomatoes or 1 lb. fresh tomatoes
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. black pepper
Directions

1Heat oven to 350°. Saute onions and green pepper in fat in heavy frying pan. Add beef and stir until brown and crumbly. Stir in remaining ingredients. Pour into a greased 2-quart casserole dish. Cover and bake 1 hour. Remove cover for the last 15 minutes.
