Texas Panhandle Cabbage Salad

  • 1 medium to large head green cabbage, shredded or appropriate amount of pre-shredded cole slaw greens
  • 3 to 4 green onions with tops, chopped
  • 1 pkg. Top Ramen (chicken flavor)
  • 3 to 4 oz. slivered almonds
  • 2 to 3 Tbsp. sesame seed

Directions

    Shred cabbage; place in large bowl.

    Add chopped green onions with some tops.

    Add Ramen noodles (uncooked), broken into small pieces.

    Toast almonds and sesame seed in about a tablespoon of butter or margarine.

    Cool nuts and seed before adding to the salad mixture, then toss well to mix.
