  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 1 c. water
  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk to which 1 tsp. soda has been added

    Boil together the margarine, water and cocoa.

    In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, eggs, salt and buttermilk mixture.

    Add cocoa mixture and blend well.

    Bake in an 18 x 12 x 1-inch pan at 350° for 20 to 30 minutes.
