  • 1 c. water
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1/2 c. Mazola oil
  • 1/4 c. cocoa
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk or milk plus 1/2 tsp. vinegar with 1 tsp. soda added
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Heat water, margarine, Mazola oil and cocoa to boiling and pour over flour and sugar (sifted together in a bowl).

    Add buttermilk with soda added, eggs and vanilla.

    Batter will be thin.

    Pour into 18 x 12 x 1-inch pan, greased and floured.

    Bake at 400° for 20 minutes.
