Texas Spiced Pecans

Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. cloves
  • dash of salt
  • 1/3 c. evaporated milk
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. pecan halves

Directions

    Combine sugar, cinnamon, cloves and salt in a large saucepan. Add evaporated milk and vanilla. Cook, stirring constantly, to soft ball stage (234°).

    Remove from heat and stir in pecans. Spread out on waxed paper to cool.

    Separate when cool.
