  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 3 eggs plus 1 egg white
  • 6 c. flour
  • 3 heaping tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 tsp. vanilla flavoring
  • 2 tsp. orange flavoring
  • 2 tsp. butter flavoring

    Cream sugar and butter; add eggs.

    Sift 4 cups flour, baking powder and salt together and add slowly to egg mixture.

    Add flavorings.

    Do this with mixer.

    Stir in by hand about 2 more cups flour so the mixture will look like biscuit dough.

    Roll out on floured board about 1/4-inch thick and cut with a 2-inch biscuit cutter.

    Place on greased cookie sheets and bake on bottom rack of preheated 400° oven for 6 minutes, then on middle rack for 6 more minutes.
