- 2 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 3 c. plain flour
- 1 c. butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. milk
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar.

2Add baking powder, salt and flour, alternately with milk, to mixture, starting and ending with flour. Set aside.

3Beat egg whites and vanilla until soft peaks form. Add to preceding mixture.

4Bake at 350° until done in pan that has been greased and floured.
