Three Bean Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. frozen French-cut green beans
  • 1 pkg. frozen baby lima beans
  • 1 pkg. frozen English peas
  • 1 small can evaporated milk
  • 3/4 c. mayonnaise
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cans water chestnuts, thinly sliced

Directions

    Cook beans and peas separately according to package directions.

    Drain and combine all three.

    Add milk, mayonnaise, onion, water chestnuts and salt to taste.

    Pour into buttered casserole.

    Butter 3 or 4 slices of bread.

    Cut into cubes. Sprinkle on top of mixture.

    Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes, until bubbly.
