- 3 sticks butter, softened
- 2 c. sugar
- 6 eggs
- 3 c. flour (plain)
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 c. milk
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
Directions

1Butter should be softened at room temperature.

2Sift plain flour before measuring.

3Cream butter well.

4Add sugar; cream thoroughly.

5Add eggs, one at a time.

6Beat well after each addition.

7Slowly add flour and baking powder.

9Increase speed on mixer and beat for several minutes.
