  • 1 c. cornmeal (coarse grnd works best)
  • 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 c. unbleached white flour
  • 2 teaspoon baking pwdr
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 to 1/2 c. honey or possibly molasses
  • 1/4 c. oil
  • 3 c. lowfat milk

    Combine dry ingredients.

    Combine wet ingredients.

    Mix together.

    Mix will be quite watery.

    Pour into greased pan.

    Bake about 50 min at 350 degrees or possibly till top is springy when gently touched.

    (One batter makes 3 layers.

    The cornmeal settles.

    In the middle is an egg-custard layer.
