Ingredients

  • 12 eggs at room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar
  • red food coloring blue, green, yellow

Directions

To hard boil the eggs, place eggs in a saucepan and cover with water. Bring water to a boil over medium heat. Once the water reaches a boil, remove from heat. Let eggs sit in hot water for 12 mins, drain then run under cold water.
  2. 2
Meanwhile, fill 4 bowls each with 2 cups warm water and 2 tsp vinegar. Color each bowl, respectively, with 40 drops of blue, green, yellow and red food coloring.
  3. 3
Place rubber bands around eggs in a decorative pattern. Place eggs in colored water and let stand for 10 mins, occasionally rolling eggs gently to achieve an even coloring. Drain on paper towels and let dry. Remove rubber bands.
