Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 yeast cake
  • 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 c. lukewarm water
  • vegetable oil (for frying)

Directions

    Dissolve yeast in water. Add flour and salt.

    Mix with spoon and let rise for 1 hour.

    Drop by tablespoons in hot oil (375°). Fry until golden brown, turning once.

    Drain on paper towel. Dust with confectioners sugar before serving.
