Ingredients

  • 2 slices bacon, cooked until crisp, crumbled and set aside
  • 1/2 lb. link sausage, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
  • 3 beaten eggs

Directions

    Brown the sausage (loose sausage also works); drain.

    Mix the flour, baking powder and salt.

    Add the milk and beaten eggs; beat until smooth.

    Place sausage in greased 10 x 6 x 2-inch dish; sprinkle with bacon.

    Pour batter over.

    Bake at 400° until set, approximately 30 to 35 minutes.

    Serve with maple syrup.
