Ingredients

  • 3/4 pints milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 6 oz plain flour
  • 1 salt & pepper
  • 12 sausages of your choice
  • 2 tbsp oil

Directions

    Preheat oven to 220c ,Place flour in a bowl with a pinch of salt and pepper

    Add eggs and milk, whisk until smooth and consistency of double cream
  3. 3
    Place oil in roasting dish , arrange sausages in dish and place In preheated oven for 10 minutes

    Pour batter over and around sausages, return to oven for approximately 25 minutes,until sausages and batter are cooked through.

    Serve with lashings of onion gravy and potatoes and vegetables of choice

    For a 'posh' version, wrap sausages in streaky bacon or pancetta and mix some lightly fried sliced onion into the batter.

    You can also add a pinch or two of dried sage.
