  • 1 large boiler of water (2 or 3 qt.)
  • 1/4 c. salt
  • 1 to 2 qt. pecan halves

Directions

    Bring water to a rolling boil.

    Add salt and pecans. Stir and boil for 5 minutes. Take off stove and pour into

    a colander. Drain well. Do not rinse.

    Put on a cookie sheet and place into oven set at 400° for 15 to 20 minutes. Keep stirred. Reduce oven to 250° for 1 hour.

    Stir often.
