- 4 tablespoons ( 1/2 stick) butter, melted
- 4 cups pecan halves
- 1 tablespoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne or white pepper
Directions

1Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.

2Place the butter and the pecans in a medium bowl and toss to coat.

3Spread the pecans in one layer in a shallow baking pan or a cookie sheet and bake for 25 minutes.

4Shake the pan, stirring the nuts two or three times while baking to prevent scorching.

5Remove from the oven and let the pecans cool in the pan.

6Sprinkle with salt and cayenne or white pepper, tossing to coat.

7Serve or store in airtight container.
