- 1/2 c. butter (1 stick)
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- 6 oz. chocolate chips (or less)
Directions

1Spread 2/3 of chopped nuts in a 9 x 12-inch area on Teflon cookie sheet.

2Melt butter in saucepan (1 or 1 1/2-quart) on medium-high heat.

3Add sugars.

4Stir while cooking to 300°. (Watch for two or three puffs of smoke that indicate sugar is beginning to scorch.)

5Remove from heat and pour over the nuts on the sheet, carefully, to cover as much as possible.

6Quickly sprinkle chocolate chips on hot candy to melt.

7Spread chocolate. Sprinkle remaining nuts on top.

8Cool.

9Break into pieces.
