Ingredients

  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. water
  • 2 Tbsp. light corn syrup
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 4 oz. milk chocolate chips or pieces
  • chopped pecans

Directions

    Cut butter into 4 pieces and add 1 at a time after each is melted.

    Add sugar, water, syrup and salt.

    Stir constantly.

    Cook to hard crack stage (295°) or until color of brown paper bag. Pour onto buttered cookie sheet about 3/4 full.

    Break up or sprinkle chocolate chips or pieces on top and spread as it melts. Sprinkle with finely chopped pecans.
