- 8 oz. margarine (1 c.)
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. flour
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate bits
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans
Directions

1Beat margarine and sugar until light and fluffy.

2Blend in egg and vanilla.

3Add flour; mix well.

4Spread dough on a jelly roll pan.

5Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes or lightly brown.

6Spread immediately with chocolate bits; let stand a few minutes.

7Spread chocolate evenly over top; sprinkle with pecans.

8Cool.

9Cut into bars, about 3 1/2 dozen.

10Cut with pizza cutter.
