- 2 sticks butter (not margarine)
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. light corn syrup
- 3 Tbsp. water
- 1-1/2 c. natural almonds, sliced
- 8 ounces milk chocolate bar
Directions

1Slowly melt butter with sugar, corn syrup and water in a heavy 2 qt saucepan.

2Cook and stir constantly over moderate heat until mixture reaches 290° on a candy thermometer.

3Add 1 cup sliced almonds, stirring constantly.

4Pour in buttered pan and flatten out thin (1/8 inch).

5When cool, melt 4 ounces of chocolate and spread on candy.

6Sprinkle with almonds.

7When this hardens turn candy over and melt the other 4 ounces of chocolate and spread on candy, sprinkle the remaining almonds on candy. When this hardens break into pieces.
