Ingredients

  • 110 grams butter
  • 250 grams light brown sugar
  • 275 grams golden syrup (corn syrup)
  • 225 ml double cream (heavy cream)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract or salt (vanilla goes best with fruits. salt goes best with chocolate)

Directions

    put all ingredients in order into a pan and stir until melted.

    boil for 4-5 minutes

    remove from heat and cool for 10 minutes.

    The sauce will still be incredibly hot so no dipping fingers yet

    sterilise 2-3 jars and pour in sauce.

    store in a cupboard.

    If it hardens too much when cooled, warm slightly
