- 1 c. butter, softened
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 7/8 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 c. chopped toasted almonds or pecans
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 6 plain milk chocolate bars
Directions

1Cream butter and brown sugar until fluffy and add egg yolk and vanilla.

2Gradually beat in flour until smooth and blended. (Dough will be thick.)

3Spread evenly on ungreased 16 x 14 x 1-inch baking pan.

4Bake at 350° for 15 minutes.

5Remove from oven and arrange unwrapped candy bars evenly near surface of crust. Let stand for 5 minutes to soften.

6Spread over crust and sprinkle nuts over top.

7Cut into squares.
