Ingredients
- 1/2 c. Pepperidge Farm corn bread stuffing
- 1 (No. 1) can tomatoes
- 1 Tbsp. melted butter
- 1 Tbsp. bacon drippings
- 1/4 tsp. seasoned salt
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 3/4 c. grated sharp cheese
- 1 c. sliced Vidalia onions
- 1/4 tsp. oregano
Directions

1Spread bottom of pie plate with stuffing.

2In skillet, mix tomatoes, butter, drippings, salt and sugar.

3Heat until well blended.

4Put 1/2 tomato mixture on top of stuffing.

5Put 1/2 cheese on top of this.

6Place all onions on top of cheese.

7Layer remaining tomatoes, then remaining cheese.

8Sprinkle with oregano. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.

9Excellent Lenten dish.
