- 1 gal. ripe tomatoes
- 1 lb. sugar
- 1 tsp. black pepper
- 4 tsp. ground cloves
- 4 tsp. ground mustard
- 4 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 qt. vinegar
- 1 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 4 tsp. salt
Directions

1Boil tomatoes until soft; strain through a sieve.

2Add vinegar, sugar, cayenne pepper, black pepper, cloves, mustard and salt.

3Boil down until it is 1/4 of its bulk and add cinnamon. Bottle, seal and process.

4Makes 4 to 5 pints.
