Tomato-Cheese Rounds

Ingredients

• 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 dozen bread rounds *
• 1/2 c. grated sharp Cheddar
• 1/3 c. mayonnaise
• 1/4 c. finely minced green onions (and tops)
• 1 Tbsp. finely chopped capers
• 3 Tbsp. finely minced green pepper
• 1/8 tsp. each salt and cayenne
• 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
• mayonnaise (for spreading)
• 40 to 50 cherry tomatoes
